Robins

Welcome to Robins!

Our teacher is Miss Taylor, supported by our wonderful Teaching Assistants, Mr Wimbury Mrs Young and Ms Petrakas.

We are a warm, friendly Year 1 and Year 2 class where children learn with curiosity and confidence. Using both the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 curriculum, we create a hands‑on, imaginative learning environment. Children work together and independently, taking on challenges that help them grow, explore and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Meet Miss Taylor

Hello, I’m Miss Taylor, and I’m delighted to be part of the Clifton-upon-Teme Primary School family!

I have over 15 years’ experience teaching children in the younger years. I absolutely love working with young children and feel incredibly lucky to be able to share in their curiosity, excitement and sense of wonder every day.

For me, play is at the heart of learning and play does not stop at five! I am passionate about creating rich, exciting learning opportunities through play, exploration, curiosity and continuous provision, right through to Key Stage 1. Whether we are building, creating, investigating, pretending, getting messy or simply following a new idea, there is always learning happening!

Our Robins Class is a happy, busy and sometimes wonderfully noisy place to be! The children are encouraged to be curious, ask questions, take risks, have a go and learn from their experiences. I love seeing those little lightbulb moments when a child suddenly makes a connection, masters something they have been practising or proudly shares something they have discovered.

My aim is for every child in Robins to feel happy, confident, valued and excited to come to school each day. I want them to develop a deep love of learning that stays with them as they move through school.

Alongside my teaching role, I am also the Deputy Safeguarding Lead at Clifton-upon-Teme Primary School. The safety, wellbeing and happiness of our children is incredibly important to me, and I feel privileged to support them and their families in this role.

I truly believe that childhood is a time to be curious, creative, playful and full of wonder and I love creating a classroom where children can do exactly that!
